A drink (2001)

In action, I sat in a chair in the center of the audience. My assistant moved between them with a bottle of wine and asked each of them, in turn, to serve the wine in a broken glass; once full, he brought me the glass and I drank, risking cutting my lips; in doing so, he arranged the glasses in a circle around me, a symbol of the people who had poured the wine. Sometimes some of the wine spilled from the irregular edges of the glass and fell on the white breastplate of my blouse. The action ended when the glasses were finished.
